Melaleuca quinquinervia

Recognised as the Broad-Leafed Paperbark or the Punk Tree, this medium sized forms with a spreading canopy. Popular for the peeling pale orange-brown paper like bark. The dark green leaves give a good background to the creamy-white to pink flowers that are borne in spring and then occur spasmodically through out the year. An excellent tree to encourage nectar eating birds into the garden.

Best suited for:
They occur naturally in, or near water, but can be used quite readily as street or garden tree.
