Native to China, this grafted tree is deciduous. Leaves are large broadly oval, with 2-3 lobes and coarse toothed margins. Insignificant flowers produce small raspberry like fruit that can be eaten. Will grow in any reasonable fertile soil, with pruning to be done in winter to reduce sap bleeding. Used as feature trees or high restricted areas such as power lines.
