Citrus reticulata

Native to southern China, the decorative and highly fragrant mandarin has an erect branching habit and thorny stems. The slightly flattened fruit is deep orange with a loose rind, maturing from mid-autumn to spring. Can be pruned to shape and will need occasional fertilizer.
